And now, a little more slowly, effortlessly exhale fully
If you do that 4 times - it takes about 40 seconds - you now have the beginning of what can become a strong, transformative meditation/mindfulness practice.

The Power of Practicing for 30 Seconds
If you’ve been wanting to meditate but haven’t started yet, we’re guessing that it’s because either you believe you don’t have time – or – you feel like you just don’t have the mental bandwidth for learning something new.
Taking these into consideration, our focus is on developing the practice of pausing one or more times a day, for as little as 30 seconds at a time.
Over time, engaging in these brief pauses gives you an effortless way to learn and to incorporate a wide variety of meditative and mindfulness skills into your everyday life.
The biggest challenge in taking brief pauses throughout the day is remembering to do it – and getting ourselves to resist the compulsion to keep doing whatever we’re doing. One of the great benefits of being in a community is that we can support each other in remembering to pause. We’ll even have periodic livestream guided pauses where we can all pause together.
MONTHLY THEMES TO PROVIDE A COMMUNITY-WIDE FOCUS
Each month of the year, we’ll be focusing on a specific area of practice. Here is the structure for the next 12 months:

Since all the practices are intimately interconnected, even as we focus on one practice, it will be woven together with other practices.

create subgroups for applying the practices to specific interests you share with others - right within the community itself.
